Welcome!!! A Little background

Welcome, everyone, to my poker blog. If you are reading this you already know that I am a poker fanatic and pride myself on my knowledge of No Limit Hold 'Em. I may not be Johnny Bax or BeL0WaB0Ve, but I've spent a lot of time studying the game and have done well. The first year was rough, but i was learning and luckily enough it was early in the poker boom and I was surrounded by other uber-donks!!! Somewhere after about a year and a half I became a break even player, but still found several ways to go busto with horrendous bankroll management. What? You've never been sucked out on enough to say "FUCK THIS - I CAN'T STAND THESE DONKEYS - I'M PLAYING 50+5's until I get it all back or bust"?

Anyways, I won a SH MTT (Short handed Multi-table Tournament) on Paradise for my biggest win, and I've had several big cash game runs. These were the only things keeping me from being an overall losing player.

As many of you are aware the fall wasn't a great time of year for American's playing online poker. Some cocksuckers with lots of money in their pockets proceeded to attach anti-gambling legislation on to the Port Security act so it would go through with no problem. This got me booted from my two favorite sites - pacific and paradise. So in the beginning of October I took out everything I had (plus some i didn't remember i had!) and deposited $150 on PokerStars; one of the few sites that was still allowing United States players. I decided that I was going to play in cash games and focus on nothing but building my roll. This was going to take two things that I had never been good at.

1) Practice Solid Bankroll Management
2) Learn how to play cash games (I was a tourney donk, with an advanced degree in SH sng's)

Well, the bankroll management has been suprisingly good! I've been playing cash games that are 1/25 of my bankroll and I can see how much it has helped!!! No monster winning nights, but no monster losers, either. I could continue to bore you with the details of how I got to where I am but after a couple of months at .05/.10, I worked up to .10/.25, with some help of a goal of getting a www.pocketfives.com score i busted my account back down to .05/.10, played back up to .10/.25 - where I continue to grind. This is going to follow most of my sessions and the good hands/bad hands...different things I'm thinking about doing with my game or just to throw some excitement in and where I'm at with my bankroll. I guess I'll wrap this up. Enjoy!!
